Synopsis: Luiza, a shy, awkward 15 year-old girl from Rio de Janeiro, dreams of being an artist. Finally making friends in a local graffiti group, life is just starting to make sense until her mother suffers an acute schizophrenic episode and Luiza’s world falls apart. With her mother adrift from reality, her father spends more time with his mistress and her younger sister goes to live with their aunt. Determined to hold her family together, Luiza battles fear, loneliness and discrimination as she takes over the household and her mother’s care.
